About Amritsar

Amritsar, colloquially known as Ambarsar and historically known as Ramdaspur is located in the Punjab state of India. It derives its name from Amrit Sarovar which was built by Guru Ram Das in the village of Tung. Guru Ram Das believed that the waters of the lake had healing powers. The land was bought by him for a small amount of 700 rupees and a temple complex was built around it. Gradually, the village developed and came to be known as Chakk Ram Das which finally became Amritsar that literally translates to pool of nectar.

About Dharamsahala

Dharamshala is a city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of the Himalayas, this hillside city is home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile. The Thekchen Chöling Temple Complex is a spiritual center for Tibetan Buddhism, while the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives houses thousands of precious manuscripts.

About Dalhousie

About Shimla

Shimla is the capital of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, in the Himalayan foothills. Once the summer capital of British India, it remains the terminus of the narrow-gauge Kalka-Shimla Railway, completed in 1903. It’s also known for the handicraft shops that line The Mall, a pedestrian avenue, as well as the Lakkar Bazaar, a market specializing in wooden toys and crafts.

Day 1Arrive Amritsar

Arrive Amritsar and c/in at the hotel. After lunch in the afternoon proceed to the Wagah Border in your pre-booked vehicle, to watch the enthralling Sundown ceremony of the symbolic closing of the gates at the Indo-Pak border. Later balance time free at Amritsar, Dinner and O/nt at Hotel.

Day 2In Amritsar

After breakfast visit Jalianwala Baug and then the Famous Golden Temple. Participate in the Langar at the temple,balance day free for shopping and leisure. Dinner and O/nt at the hotel.

Day 3Amritsar-Dalhousie(200kms approx.)

Today morning after breakfast leave  for Dalhousie, arrival Dalhousie and c/in to the hotel. Later visit Dainkund peak, balance day free at leisure, Dinner and o/nt at the Hotel.

Day 4Dalhousie-Khajjiar-Dalhousie

This morning after breakfast go the Khajjiar, the mini Switzerland of India. Spend the entire day at Khajjiar. Evening back to Dalhousie, Time  at Leisure, Dinner and O/nt at Hotel.

Day 5Dalhousie-Dharamshala (120kms approx.)

This morning after breakfast leave for Dharamshala, the refuge of The Dalai Lama,  The Leader of Tibet in exile. Arrive Dharamshala and c/in at the hotel. Balance day free at Leisure to explore Dharamshala on your own, Dinner and O/nt at Hotel

Day 6Dharamshala

This morning after breakfast proceed to Mcleodganj, a place of extreme scenic beauty, with valleys, rivers, mountain lakes, old Monastries etc. Then go to the Serene Dalai Lama temple complex, balance day in the complex, Dinner and O/nt at the hotel.

Day 7Dharamshala-Manali (232kms approx.)

Today after breakfast, proceed to Manal. On arrival c/in to your pre-booked hotel, Dinner and o/nt at the hotel

Day 8Manali-Rohtang pass

This morning after breakfast drive to Rohtang pass (Weather Permitting), arrive back to the hotel, balance day free at leisure, Dinner and O/nt at Hotel.

Day 9Manali

This morning after breakfast visit the Hidimba Devi Temple, Vashishth  hot springs, visit zero point in Solang valley, take a cable car ride from Zero point, to  have an aerial view of the snow clad peaks balance day free at leisure, Dinner and  O/nt at Hotel.

Day 10Manali-Shimla (245kms approx.)

This morning after an early breakfast drive to Shimla, The Summer Capital of the British Raj and now the State Capital. Late afternoon, arrive at Shimla. Later visit the Christ Church and the famous Mall road. Dinner and O/nt at Hotel.

Day 11Shimla

This  morning after breakfast leave for Mashobra sightseeing ,Kufri ( snow clad in Winter) Naldhera. Evening free at leisure to wander around the Mall road. Dinner and O/nt at hotel.

Day 12Shimla-Chandigarh/Delhi

This morning after breakfast check out of the hotel and proceed to Chandigarh/Delhi ,whichever your destination maybe.
